Photographer's Note

This photograph was taken in Eymir Lake at Ankara...

This insect is the species of the dragon fly... It's name Red-veined Darter...

Red-veined Darter is a dragonfly of the genus Sympetrum. It is a common species in southern Europe and from the 1990s onwards has increasingly been found in northwest Europe, including in Britain and Ireland.

The red veins on the wings are, as its name suggests, a distinctive feature.
