Photographer's Note
Al-Hamidiyah Souq (Arabic: سوق الحميدية) is the largest and the central souk in Syria, located inside the old walled city of Damascus next to the Citadel. The souq starts at Al-Thawra street and ends at the Umayyad Mosque plaza.
The last night of Ramadam the whole souq is crowded, with all the shops open: also young kids work in the shops.

Hello Giuseppe,
A very good image of the inside of this shop. The array of colourful spices are eye-catching but I also like the lines of bottles etc on the shelves. The boy adds nicely to the interesting composition. I enjoyed this a lot.

Another great shot from the souk, Giuseppe. I like it that you don't concentrate solely on the colour patchwork of the spices (that would have been too much of a cliché for me), but include the surroundings too, the fan and all the other things hanging, standing and sticking in. And then smack dab in the middle is the boy, leaning back, yet confrontational and very present. Top work. Thanks for posting it.

This frame is packed with so many interesting elements, tones and textures. I can almost smell the spices! Good use of the vertical frame to give depth and I like the large FG. I probably would have corrected the lowest part of the frame to excluse the part of the spice container in the middle foreground. It is a bit distracting. But this is a small thing.
