Triclinium/Obelisk tomb
“You have passed the Tower Tombs (Djinn blocks). A Greek inscription indicates that a Nabataean family built these in the 1st century AD. You are standing in the Bab Al-Siq in front of the Obelisk or ‘Nefesh’ Tomb, which was carved by the Nabataeans in the 1st century AD, slightly earlier than the bottom storey classical style Triclinium (banqueting hall). At the top are four pyramids or ‘Nefesh’ as well as a niche with a statue in bas-relief, symbolic representations of the five people buried in the tomb.”
