Photographer’s Note
I took this picture up from Lawrence Springs. This is a small fresh water spring that comes out in the middle of one of the mountains in Wadi Rum. You can see that the locals have put together some pipe to make use of that fresh water down at the bottom. The trek is about 35 minutes up via large rocks. A good exercise!
The picture is a little brighter than I would have liked. Also some noise up at the top by the mountains in the back. This is partly due to the brightness of the sun(11a.m) and my lack of Polarized lens covers. I think this would have helped quite a bit. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

Great shot, very nice perspective. I like how you capture the vastness and the horizon, and how curious there's only one tree standing in miles and miles.
Regarding the technicals, I'm not sure the polarizer would have made a lot of difference, given that it was close to noon and the sun was at its peak. You probably would've needed to take the shot earlier, or waited until mid-afternoon to have a blue sky.
In any event, great shot.

Hi Thomas
Good desert shot. I probably would have taken a few steps to one side to avoid showing the pipe, don't think it adds anything here.
