Close encounter with a Jackal.

I knew that there are a "colony" of jackals at the place I was going to take a stroll with hope to see one.
But, surprisingly enough, encountered this relative mature jackal who stood about 2m away from me, and "posed" for few pictures.
Another one found hiding in the reed-bush too shy to come out, show it on the 3 WS's.

Few years ago, those animals, native of Israel, came closer to the urban neighborhoods and took over a certain area around marsh-ponds in the Seven-Mills location along the Yarkon river, see it on the map at 32.096, 34.8092, just 200m from residential houses. The municipallity vet-services taking care of the jackals population, feeding them with vaccinations since it became a spread issue.
