Photographer's Note

After going through some old photos from last year, i came across this one.
It was taken up on Ventnor down (Isle of Wight) in late April 2007.
I took this about half an hour after the sun had set and used a 2 minute exposure to capture the dusk colours that were catching on the base of the clouds, i also used an ND8 Graduated filter so that the ground was in the correct exposure range.
Ventnor down is part of the gigantic chalk and limestone ridge that covers most of the island, and the down itself is only just short of a mountain!
