Photographer's Note

Inspired by Rgatward's stunning shots of Polish steam recently posted I decided to get out this shot taken at the 50th aniversary gala of the Ffestiniog Railway (North Wales) in may last year
The engine is a Darjeeling ‘B’ Class 0-4-0ST locomotive recently restored by Adrian Shooter and this was the first time it had ever been seen working outside India
Two replica Darjeeling coaches built at the Ffestiniog's Boston Lodge works made up the train.
I initially thought aboutr making this a mono shot but those vibrant blue's that shobne out even on a dull North Wales day made me leave it in colour.
One thing this engine does is pump out soot and a later shot taken from the windward side left me and others covered in black dust.
