Photographer's Note

The Science Museum in London holds a collection of over 300,000 items, including early steam engines and Babbage's differential engine, but it also contains some amazing pieces of art.

One of them is "Materials House", a huge sculpture (more than 6 meters high and about 4 tons heavy) created by Thomas Heatherwick and consisting of 213 layers of diverse materials. There are more than 2,000 different pieces, each of them individually cut, so that each of the materials is visible through the complex geometric patterns.

What you see here is just a small part of the whole work!
