Photographer's Note
The Buick Limited series was revived in 1958 as the ultimate Buick for the model year. In a model year where General Motors's answer to Chrysler's "Forward Look" was to update its 1957 Buicks and Oldsmobiles by slathering them in excessive amounts of chrome, the 1958 Buicks received the ultimate treatment.
Each Buick Special, Century and Roadmaster received a Fashion-Aire Dynastar grille, cast of 158 chrome squares, each, according to Buick PR, piece "shaped in a design to maximize the amount of reflective light". Buick also added quad headlights and three emblems bearing a stylized "V", one a medallion on the hood and the other two as gun-sight fender-toppers.

Sweet shot, Dougie. Your crop clipped the right edge a bit, but what a fantastic photo of a Limited series Buick.....

Beautiful view Dougie of the buick , i only wish they still made cars like that now.you certainly filled the frame with this beauty .
Did you manage to get any 3d type shots ? ie focusing on the front left corner so you have the long side and the front in the frame .
intresting write up

Great shot Dougie, lovely use of the wide angle lens. The bodywork is really sharp and gleaming.
I see you were up late last night as well, and I saw this then and was going to post but was falling asleep at the keyboard.

Dougie,
I take it from the banner there is only one car belonging to the pre '67 Ford owners club as that looks like a Datsun 260rz next to it ;) My fav lens at the moment here, the f4L and am always surprised by it. One thing about the Americans, they just can't make a great car, not like the Europeans if you know what I mean. But they are great at being loud with it. Probably reflects there culture. Actually it would be interesting to put down a car and see if you can describe it to fit the people of that country. Actually thats a really good idea, but I am getting off the subject. Great pov and notes Dougie.

A wonderful shot! Actually, this one makes me jealous - I took a picture of this very same car at the Biggar rally in August but I don't think it's quite so dramatic. I can post it if you like.
Your note is very comprehensive and interesting too.
