Photographer's Note

Dunvegan is situated at the junction of the A850, and the A863 roads and it is the largest village on the north-west part of the Isle-of-Skye, on the shores of Loch-Dunvegan.

Here on picture is the main street of the village, 57.4355 -6.5795 on the map.

The main attraction is the Clan MacLeod Castle complex (which we did not visit), and one Michelin-starred restaurant (where we did not dine), famous bakery and some gift shops. The latest statistic indicates a falling population in recent years, except for the high season’s. (source: Visit-Scotland site).

At the shores of the Loch, which I will post a photo of, there are number of Seals colonies – but we did not see any, local people said those coming during summer months.
