Photographer's Note

Ben Nevis taken from the harbour at the start of the Caledonian Canal at Corpach.

Ben Nevis, at 1344 metres, is the highest mountain in Great Britain, it is the flat-topped mountain at the right of this picture. In winter it is possible to ski on the mountains to the left of the picture.

The mountains are really just grey rock, the pinkish colour is entirely from the lovely early-evening light when I took the picture.
