Photographer's Note

Good Morning Everyone,

This is one of the oldest buildings in the village where I live. It was once a farmhouse, though it is now just a renovated dwelling.

It's date of 1604 can be seen on the chimney.
It has a heavy stone roof and small mullioned windows, typical of older properties in the village.

The surrounding, drystone wall is in excellent condition. Walls, such as this, once bounded all the fields in the village. (Recently, because these walls have character, the stones have become valuable and subject to theft!)

On such an unusually bright, sunny day in November, it seemed a good time to photograph the house, as much of the surrounding vegetation had died back.

Enjoy your day, Bev :-)
