Photographer's Note

One of the interesting places I had been during my first visit in Switzerland back in 2005 was the Aletsch Glacier.

The Aletsch is the largest glacier in the Alps. It is 23 kilometers long and 900 meters deep. It is 1 hour hike from the village of Bettmeralp.

There was a recent publicity campaign held in Aletsch glacier where nearly 600 volunteers stripped in front of the camera to raise awareness and expose the impact of climate change.

According to scientists, around 2100, 80% of the surface of the glacier will be gone.

It is scary. It is happening. I just hope that we can do something about it now before its too late...Let us take care of our environment and do our own little part to protect the wonderful world we live in, so we can keep on discovering the beauty of Mother Earth.
