Photographer's Note

It might sound like a bit of a stereotype, but associating Switzerland with watches tends to come quite natural. As a matter of fact, you are targeted by ads and ads of watches (and banks) as soon as you step off the plane and walk into Geneva's airport.

Late at night, I was going back to my hotel when I noticed that one of the watch shops had the original idea of using one of the windows to showcase a sample of old tools and equipment once used by watchmakers.

It was a symphony of tiny gears, dials, hands, wheels, screws, springs, levers and other mechanical wonders whose names I would never be able to remember...
