Photographer's Note

The ice has allmost connected the little island to the mainland. In reality it never happened, warmer weather came and the ice melted. The ice on the river never last long and can never be trusted because it melts from the underside by the warm riverwater.

Talking about connections - On the lakes in the northern part of country there is a long tradition of having roads on the ice in the winter, it is practical not to have to wait for the ferry and sometimes it is a shortcut.
