Photographer's Note

Grynge, a fishing hamlet on the east coast of island Gotland in the southern Baltic sea. The tradition has it that the island farmers shared the coastline - and fishing rights - among each other. You can find these small hamlets all over Gotland. Small houses for the farmers to keep their fishing gear in. Now when fishing is down, some are used as summer cottages by Gotlanders and "Mainlanders" (people not living permanently on Gotland). Due to restictions you're not allowed to turn these huts into permanent dwellings. The Grynge hamlet sports stone houses, mostly the huts and houses are wooden. Chimneys like the ones on this photo are rare.
The storm building up in the background and the pale morning sun give the colours something quite extra. No post production
