Photographer's Note

Santa Pau is a lovely medieval town, situated on a minor road that runs between the near city of Olot (8 km), and Banyoles (known by its lake, used in the Olympic Games of Barcelona in1992, where some water sports tooke place), and at 30km from Girona city.
The village is located in the volcanic natural park of "La Garrotxa". Its attractive old quarter that has been built around the town's square shaped castle and the main square is quite unusual being surrounded by different sized arcades, as you can see in the photo.
There is an excellent restaurant just next to the main square called Cal Sastre, that serves traditional Catalonian food.
Near Santa Pau there are some old volcanic craters, the most known is "Santa Margarida" with its renowned 13th century chapel built in the centre of the crater.
The town Santa Pau has a population of 15,000, and it has plenty of bars and restaurants, shops and supermarkets.
There are also some rural houses as "Cal Pere Petit", typically decorated, where you can spend a very pleasant weekend as I did.
For your information, Santa Pau's Major celebration takes place in the middle of August, and there are some middle edge representations by its streets and squares.
The shot was made during 4 seconds and f4,5 with ISO 100 film, and as a tripod, this time, I put the camera on the back part of an old car.
