My first time in Donostia-San Sebastián , the capital of Gipuzkoa , one of the three foral provinces in which Basque country is administratively divided into (others are Araba and Biscaia )...One who had lived long in Spain and knows something about the political and social controversies in this country would quickly noticed that this region ,bathed by the Cantabric sea, has nothing to do with the rest of the Spanish land ...What can, even vaguely ,sounds as a Spanish is categorised as something hostile and rejectable, even if as a ´heedless´ígnorant´ foreign tourist dares ask for a Spanish touristic guide in any shop . However in Donostia , abertzale claims and political tensions seem to have taken a sort of stand by point and convivence is more bearable: the city preserves certain blend of the aristocratic splendour of its past when rich people from inner Spain used to spend their summer holidays in the place ...
