Photographer's Note

5 km south the town of Baiona, above Cape Silleiro, there's an old coast battery with four cannons and a telemetry bunker. It was abandoned in the 80s, and in 1998 it was officialy declared useless. Though the four cannons still aim at the Atlantic, the place has become just ruins and has been (and is) often vandalised.
In the photo, the bunker on top of the complex. It was used as a vantage point to track the advance of the oil after the Prestige spill (November 2002). Not far away, Cabo Silleiro Lighthouse, which has been working since 1924.
As WS, a back view of the bunker.
The photo was taken early in the morning; PP was quite typical: shadows & highlights, curves, saturation and sharpening.
I expect to post some more pictures on the theme of decay, and also of this battery.
Thanks for your comments!
