The saying says that the Church St. Nicolas was built in 1468 by Vuk Grgurevic, a.k.a. Zmaj Ognjeni Vuk, the grandson of Despot Durdje Brankovic. The church was built in the style of Moravska architectural school, as a three hall construction with a cubit on the central part which was later on removed. Her cultural and historical value is in her representation of the form in which churches were built in the Srem region, as well as the most famous church of them all, monastery church Krusedola.
The inside of the church was done at the end of the 15th century and at the beginning of the 16th century, whose remains are found in the first zone of the northeast pillar, from the west side (standing figures of Three Jerarha – Vasilije Veliki, Jovan Zlatousti and Grigorije Bogoslov). The inside of the church has been renovated in the second half of the 18th century. That is when the carved in rood screen in baroque and rococo form was made. The pictures in the rood screen were done by Stefan Tenecki (1764), a famous painter.
