Photographer's Note

Belmonte, a town in the district of Guarda, hometown of Pedro Alvares Cabral, navigator and explorer regarded as the discoverer of Brazil.
Also on same time (1500 year +/-) a new home for Jews who fled Castillia, Espanea
and establish a community, that is active of some 220 families until this days.
Here on picture taken in a front yard of the Belmonte castle, the bell tower which is also in the WS#1 I post a view from inside-out. In the WS #2 us the Belmonte Castle eastern wall.
The Serra-da-Estrela mountains ridge can be seen from almost every point in town.
