Photographer's Note

Arcs insinde the Batalha monastery . Founder’s Chapel is where King João was buried with his wife, Queen Philippa of Lancaster. Their son Prince Henry the Navigator is also buried here in the family tomb.

Gothic architecture's Batalha monestary, was built to celebrate the Portuguese victory over the Castillians in the Battle of Aljubarrota in 1385.
I used a small tripod on floor level, but could not include the whole vast area.
In the WS an arc from the inside court.
