Photographer's Note

Traditional colorful boats of Aveiro, were in use to transport salt and seaweed in old days – salt is still in process on numerous evaporative-pools in near outskirts.
The boats I learent now called "Moliceiros", are in use taking tourist around the town's canals.
Aveiro was build on a swamp area that was flooded in 1575 after a storm from the Atlantic-ocean and remain under water for some 200 years - when dried out the canals remain crossing town , and can be seen clearly on the map.
