In June, Aires (AiresSantos), Goncalo (Bluejeans) and me did a small meeting in the Nations Park to take a coffee and some pictures.
This is a view of the “Vasco da Gama” shopping in Nations’s Park at Lisbon, in the blue hour.
We can see the flags of all countries of the world, in the right side of the photo.
This picture was taken at "Parque das Nações" - a pleasent place in the city. Nations Park, located in the orient zone of the City of Lisbon.
Parque das Nações - English: Nations' Park, is a leisure, commercial and residential area in Lisbon, Portugal. It covers an extensive area in northeastern Lisbon next to the Tagus estuary, formerly used for mainly industrial purposes.
The area underwent a tremendous transformation in the 1990s when it was chosen as the location for the Expo '98 World Exhibition. After the exhibition, the area got its current name (although it is not uncommon for the Portuguese to still refer to it as "Expo"), and more transformations occurred such as the new Vasco da Gama shopping mall, the Lisbon's International Fair complex, hotels and many new office and residential buildings. Many attractions built for the Expo '98 remained and keep drawing visitors, such as the Oceanarium, one of the world's biggest aquariums.

Hi Filipe,
Nice capture of deep blue hour. A row of flagpoles illuminated seems to play nicely support for the tower and the middle part, and to bring a nice perspective.

This twilight is almost night. The non-blue strong colours are wonderful here.
I know that most people use the words blue hour for this kind of pictures. And I know why. According to Wikipedia, "Due to the unusual, romantic quality of the ambient light at this time, twilight has long been popular with photographers and painters, who refer to it as "sweet light" or the "blue hour", after the French expression l'heure bleue".
There is also the less used word "crepuscule". Myself, I feel that, in English, the most beautiful and appropriate word for these hours is indeed twilight. But it's just my own taste.
Technically there are "civil twilight (brightest), nautical twilight and astronomical twilight (darkest)". The length of twilight is influenced by the latitude.

Great shot, beautiful blue hour with beuatiful and well saturated colors and good sharpness for a blue hour shot, the reflection is like a mirror. Even the flag are sharp, no wind. I thought the monument may be a bit too center but it seem to work out just fine here. Thanks. My complements.

It is a very photogenic area due to plenty of water and modern architecture.
Your composition is very pretty, may be a bit too late, half an hour sooner may have been more balanced.

Olá Filipe, está fantástica esta tomada do crepúsculo ou 'blue hour' como o pessoal tanto gosta de referir por aqui. A verdade é apesar da hora escurecida tens umas cores super atraentes e um arranjo gráfico de luz e sombra espectacular. Tecnicamente está muito bem executado. Até as luzes em estrela perfeita estão lá.

ando afastado desta coisa e depois vejo que perco algumas preciosidades como esta.
Devo dizer-te que é dos melhores nocturnos que tenho visto do parque das nações com esta blue-hour a fugirjá para a twilight zone, com estes tons carregados no céu a combinarem de forma perfeita com a iluiminação e os tons mais amarelados das luzes.
Os reflexos, que mais parcem um espelho tal a agua estava parada acrescentam aquele toque de classe à foto.
Bela foto que aqui tens.
