Photographer's Note

During these coldest days of winter, let's remember the summer. This is the beach of Fonte da Telha, in the municipality of Almada, south of Lisbon. The central part of the beach as well as the beaches to the north, up to Costa da Caparica, are often too crowded. But, if you move southwards you may find just a couple of children and a lot of seagulls.
These cliffs belong to the Paisagem Protegida da Arriba Fóssil da Costa de Caparica, that is the Protected Area of Fossil Cliffs.
Location of Fonte da Telha in WikiMapia: 38.5697015, -9.1945481.

(This is the beach nearest to my home in Portugal).
