Photographer's Note

This is the oldest part in Belmonte, on the east slope of the town's hill, that has a
castle on top .
See the notable ruins of old houses and old paved road.
Belmonte, hometown of Pedro Alvares Cabral, navigator and explorer regarded as the discoverer of Brazil.
Also on same time (1500 year +/-) a new home for Jews who fled Castillia, Espanea,
and establish a community, that is active of some 220 families until this days.
