The 3rd picture of the massive granit rocks of the Serra-da-Estrela, on 1800m +/- altitude.
It has an extraordinary formation, as nature sculptured with white spots of lime-stone residue's.

Hello Ike,
A very nice mountain's shot very well composed. The big rock in the Fg on the right give depht to the imgae. I like too the small betewwen the rocks in the Bg which invite to discovery.

these smooth surfaces of gray rocks are amazing,
those and the green spots are making unusual and beautiful scene,

Une photo d'un endroit que je connais bien, juste à coté il y a la statue de "Notre Dame de l'étoile" sculptée à même dans le granit, d'ailleurs, j'espère que t'as réussi à mettre une petite pierre sur le gros rocher et à faire un vœux!!
Bonne définition et point de vue original, compte tenue du lieu!!

I have several photos of Serra da Estrela, this link is the site closest to your photo. You did not have luck with the time, nor snow, nor blue sky. Pity about the grey sky.

this area is located not so far from the carving showing our lady of star. good framing, light, sharpness and colors. we can see many details of the rocks and vegetation here. I used to visit this place every time I went to portugal

Hello Ike,
Excellent graphism of the dark rocks against the white sky backdrop. The fg greenery adds a welcome splash of colour. Good sharpness and effective tight framing. The 2 fg rocks either side add depth and layering to the composition. Tfs!
