Photographer's Note

Once again a photo from that spectacular evening in June.
Photo was taken from same spot as one of my other photos this evening, only difference is that this shot was taken with my old Sigma 28-80mm Macro lens.
Magnification is 1,6 so I'm not 100% sure what "actual" lens length was.

The Island visible in this photo is once again the island of Rott.
Yes once again Rott, seems like I never get tired of this island.
I tried leveleling the photo but this was as good as I got it, hopefully it won't be a big problem.
Photo was taken from a place called "Ølberg" (Literally translates to "Beer mountain"), my main intention with this site is that I am waiting for the big winter storms.
This place is unique as the seabed seems to rise rapidly just some 70-100 meters off shore.
It rises from a depth of some 30-50 meters up to a "shelf" on the sea floor that is some 10-5 meters below the surface.
This combined with the fact that the main direction of all storms coming in here and that there are no islands in that direction can make some pretty spectacular waves and stormsurges come in here.

The really big storms are rare though, maybe once every 5 years or so.
Winds will be hurricane force and really stur up the sea. The really big waves of the sea come ashore a few days after the stomr has passed, that is when the turmoil and power stored in the sea during the stom is released.

Enjoy.
