The Hague Under Heaven
1200 pixel small betaversion

This picture is of a very remarkable exhibition in Museum Beelden aan Zee (Sculptures at Sea) in The Hague - summer 2011.

Positioned in various locations throughout the city, the sculptures present a unique overview of contemporary Chinese art. The title 'The Hague Under Heaven' refers to the Chinese phrase 'Everything under the sky'; a Confucian term representing the harmony between people, heaven and earth.

Museum Beelden aan Zee
The museum is located in one of the busiest seaside resorts in the Netherlands, less than 500 metres south of the Kurhaus hotel. Once you are inside the museum building you don’t notice the hustle and bustle any more at all. The museum lies hidden in the dunes, and peace and quiet prevail inside.
