While Malgo and Craig are uploading shots from their recent visits to Malta, I couldn't resist adding one oldie of mine. I don't remember the exact location, but this empty cafe is somewhere near the Upper Barrakka Gardens.

A textbook case of illustrating repetition in an image! Both of the tables & chairs, and the umbrellas. The solitary potplant at bottom and its green color left nicely breaks the pattern. A superb downward pov with splendid sharpness. Tfs!

I like this as a change from the Maltese balconies and churches. It's a graphically and artistically elegant photo and the title was obviously well chosen.

Very artistic POV, a well observed moment of peace. It is the closing time till next year. A beautiful island, unique and charming.

Wow! So elegant furniture, it reminds me a decoration for some historic movie. It looks like a strange pattern on the thumbnail and I need a time to recognize these objects.

It's a Malta Extravaganza. You three are making me want to jump on a plane for Valetta. I love your bird's eye POV, the graphism of the tables and chairs and of course the wonderful textures in the wrought iron. Excellent work.
Thanks for sharing, have a great Sunday

Hello Kari, there is a very pleasing pattern to this shot, and the chairs with their design add to the overall effect.
If there had been one person there, it would have totally changed the picture, we would be looking at them instead!
Well spotted and thanks for sharing.

Hello Kari ,
I like a lot this bird eye view on this empty terrasse . Empty , but the old dark metalic chairs and tables are really attractive .
PS ; for a fist class picture , it woul have been fine to have a lonely people at a table ... but he was not there .

The patterns of tables and chairs make a spectacular design. Each one of them looks like black lace. Well seen and nicely rendered, TFS!

haha, yes, seems like Malgo and I have been following each other around the world lately :)
Personally, i really enjoy these types of scenes. the collection of repetitive patterns is what makes it all work so well. doesn't matter if the seats are empty, the pattern still delivers.

This is my favourite photo of yours so far.
Amazingly captured, nice sharpness and contrast with those intricate cast-iron motifs.
