Photographer's Note

This shot was made from the top of the Vernazza tower. It shows the north-west part of the Cinque Terre. At the far end (not seen here due to sunlight) is Monterosso. The watch tower is dated back to the eleventh century and was very important for the town's defence. The view from the top is breathtaking.
I would recommend an early morning visit for better photographs, for as you can see the afternoon sun would be right in front of you!
