Pontuglia - Ceselli - Scheggino - Umbria
Ancient agricultural transit villa, then fortified in the fifteenth century, situated at an altitude of 356 meters s.l.m. near water sources that feed the homonymous ditch and an old mill. It is located along the ancient road that connected Scheggino Spoleto through Le Cese and Sensati, through the Castelmonte pass. and it is inhabited by no more than twenty people. The system of the country is triangular, with a main road on the flat and steep radial streets, often with arches that converge upwards. They are still visible traces of the fortifications and two gates. Emerge from the town some pigeon towers, which certainly had once also of defense and a watch tower. It is a remarkable stone quadrangular, covered gabled and a rose on each wall. The village of Pontuglia has followed the events of the Ceselli Castello from which it depended administratively, now part of the municipality of Scheggino.
