Photographer's Note

The "Race of the ring of Narnia" is the main event of a large reenactment organized during the days preceding and following the feast of the Patron Saint Juvenal and which originates from traditional ceremonies from the first half of the fourteenth century ..

The event takes place between the last week of April and the second Sunday of May and runs through the times prescribed and codified in municipal statutes of 1371 AD from "reading the Bann, where auctioneers to draw a horse" certamen "knights of Narni for them to demonstrate their preparedness to defend the city. The same evening, the program continues with "the offering of candles in the Cathedral" carried out by municipal authorities and representatives of the arts and those in medieval castles that were under the jurisdiction of the city. An evening procession, composed of more than 600 characters, and reaches the Cathedral to pay homage at the tomb of St Juvenal, the first Bishop of Narni.
