Villa fortificata dei Balduini
The small fortified transit villa is located along the ancient route that connected the Marroggia valley to the Val di Serra.
It was part of the Arnolfe Lands, presumably since the 11th century.
In the year 1416 it was detached from the dominion of the Arnolfe lands and became part of the territory of Spoleto, of which today it is a fraction.
Despite the many tampering and substitutions that took place over the centuries, it still retains traces of the old medieval fortified settlement and interesting examples of spontaneous construction.
In the immediate vicinity of the Balduini castle is the small Church of San Sebastiano.
A little further on, situated on a hill towards the castle of Fogliano, stands the Hermitage of the Madonna di Panico.
