Photographer's Note

The Basilica of Santa Maria del Fiore (St. Mary of the Flower) was designed by Arnolfo di Cambio in 1294. It was the largest Catholic church at the time with a large dome designed by Brunelleschi.
The ornate facade was added in the 19th century. It is full of detailed patterns and sculptures.
This is on of many angels that are sculpted on the facade.
