Photographer's Note

Back to the north face of the Piz Badile, Damon Powell seconding the rather massive chimney, it was not far below were I seconded the stone shoot which has a rather bad reputation. Needless to say as I climbed out of the danger zone, a whole load of rock and stones came flying by, it doesn't scare you as you watch it go by because its gone by anyway and hasn't got you but the feeling is one of:

'WOW, that missed me, what a bit of ******* luck'

Different when you see it coming down onto you though trying to cower into any available crack or just starring blankly at it!

Fantastic climb this one.
