Photographer's Note

I've already uploaded 49 photos to TE and, though I'm still starting to learn, I've already improved my photography and my editing skills (and editing software). Thanks to all the members who have posted and critiqued shots, I upload today a better edition of my first post.
First I used Camera Raw to change the white balance and to recover some lights in the sky. Then, in Photoshop, I edited the exposition in the sky, and brightness and shadows in the rest of the picture (which was quite dark as I didn't want to burn the sky). The key to the edition lies in the selection of the sky (which I couldn't do properly a few months ago). It's very simple: Select --> Selection by Colour --> Highlights in the menu; or just Ctrl+Alt+126. Then you can refine the selection in Quick Mask mode, or convert it in a layer and edit as you please. That's a simple and very useful trick I read somewhere. Finally, I added some saturation of reds and magentas, and sharpened. I like it much more now :-)
As a Xmas present, a WS with another view of these rocks.
Thanks to all the members, but especially to those who commented and encouraged me on these first posts.

This is my first photo here. It was taken in the Ring of Kerry, in the very nice village of Sneem. The place is simply astounding.
