Photographer's Note

I like this picture for several reasons. First of all, it's an apparently minimalistic setting: two small islands, one big cloud. However, it implies several contrasts: the green sunny island vs. the black clouded one, the light clouds on the blue sky vs. the big dark cloud, the different colours of the sea, and the supposed corporeity of the islands vs. the supposed softness of the cloud. But all the picture depends on just one thing: the dark cloud. It's that advancing cloud which has all the power to transform the landscape, the colours and the light. I think the shot was taken at the right moment to show the change.
The photo was taken from the coast of Caherdaniel, in the Ring of Kerry (from the same point as this other photo). Unfortunately, I don't know the name of these small islands and haven't been able to find out.

Post-processing in PS CS2: auto-levels, contrast & brightness, saturation and Neat Image for noise & sharpening.

Comments are welcome.
I hope you enjoy it. Have a nice day!
