Photographer's Note

Iceland has a lot of waterfalls. What makes Seljalandsfoss waterfall different and better, is the option to walk behind the torrents of the fall. In winter the area around Seljalandsfoss is stunning. The area is nothing short of a Christmas winter wonderland, with snow-covered, frozen ground and crystal icicles. Winter at Seljalandsfoss also has its setbacks, the ice on the paths can be hazardous. If the path behind the waterfall is deemed too slippery it will be closed. I love waterfalls. Now, when I finally saw a few waterfalls in Iceland, I can say I have seen the most beautiful ones in the world: Iguazu, Victoria, Niagara, Yellowstone, Yosemite (in this case rather the place where it should be).

You can compare my winter view with the green views here
