Photographer's Note

Monemvasia is a town located at the foot of a high cliff on the island also called Monemvasia.
The modern part of the town is on the mainland and is called Gefyra. This is a growing tourist destination, and the main attraction is of course "Gibraltar of Greece", a rock separated from the mainland and connected with it 200m causeway.
In my photo you see the main square of Monemvasia with the 6th century Christos Elkomenos church and the former mosque, that nowadays hosts the archaeological collection of Monemvasia.
