Photographer's Note

A late afternoon shot from one of the picturesque hilltop villages on Milos, awaiting sunset over on the right. There is a crowd of people on the terrace in the 2nd building from the front. It's almost as nice as Oia on nearby Santorini, but a lot less touristy. Milos is perhaps better known for the Venus de Milo statue, found on this island and now residing in the Louvre Gallery in Paris. There are a few wind turbines on the crest of the distant caldera rim. Like Santorini, the island is a dormant volcano.
