Photographer's Note

The Myrtoan Sea or Myrtöo Pelagos is a subdivision of the Aegean Sea that lies between the Western Cyclades (Milos, Kythnos, Serifos) from east to west and the Peloponnesos (Saronic Gulf, Tyros, Leonidio, Kythera) from north to south.
According to Greek mythology, it is said to have been named after the mythical hero Myrtilus, who was thrown into this sea by an enraged Pelops.
