Photographer's Note

Hi there,

Well, I seem to like lighthouses.
They can be so different. I've presented you the lighthouse of Cape Lefkatas, ofcourse located on Lefkada, two times before.
Now it's time for another lighthouse.
This one is located nearby Fiskardo, Kefalonia
on a small sort of peninsula/isthmus called Cape Fiskardo, according to my map.

From this scene I liked the mixture of vegetation with the buildings.

Fiskardo is a small picturesque fishing village and has the northernmost harbour on Kefalonia. A Fiskardo holiday is set among superb rugged hills and beautiful Kefalonia landscapes full of cypress trees and olive groves. Fiskardo is about 30 miles from the capital. Colourful traditional houses overlook a small cosy working harbour lined with restaurants. Fiskardo has good views across the water to the dramatic outline of the island of Ithaka.

Fiskardo is the only village on the island to escape the earthquake damage of 1953 and the village retains many Venetian-style buildings from the 18th century which are now protected by law. Fiskardo is an atmospheric and popular place with whitewashed shops and colourful flower-decked houses, fisherman and fruit sellers.
There are many bars and taverna's. Restaurants & cafes will provide you with superb views and a few bars are open until quite late.
You can make use of ferries that run to the tiny port of Frikes on the island of Ithaki, and Vassiliki & Nydri on Lefkada.

And then after adding a border I realized the result was 900px width, so step back! Removed the border, resized again, sharpened again. And made it 800px by adding this border.

Curious what you think.

360 degree panorama's
On the net I found this link where you can see a 360 degrees panorama, taken from the building in the middle of this shot.
Maybe nice to have a look, you can spin the photo around.
And this one, taken from the tower on the right
