The largest and most famous spa town of Greece for 2000 years ... located in Northern Evia and is connected by ferry boat to the port of Arkitsa in Fthiotida. As early as the 5th century BC famous came from all over the known world to heal thanks to the natural warm, thermal waters. The magnificent neoclassical buildings of the Old Town Hall and spas reflect the heyday of modern times. From the early 20th century until 1960 Edipsos attracts visitors from around the world and, after a period of decline, in recent years starts again rising tourist. Renovated historic hotels, restaurants, taverns and bars, the green landscape (beautiful Mount Telethrio and perfect for trekking and excursions with 4x4) and the endless sandy beaches (Agios Nikolaos, 1 km. outside the city) put again the historic spa town on the tourist map. You will find historic spa hotels, many rooms and apartments ideal especially for families, some typical hotels and some tasteful studios which mark the new phase of development of the spa.
