Photographer's Note

The castle Steinhöfel was built in the end of 18th century by the architects David und Friedrich Gilly. In 1840 the erection of the side towers was finished and in 1880 the front wall of the building was reconstucted in neo-barocco style.

Right now the castle is a cozy hotel for those who want to get away from the noisy cities. It is a perfect place for romantic vacations, rest and solitude. The castle is situated in a beautiful garden which is considered to be one the first examples of English landscape design on the East German territory.

Update about sharpness
Unfortunately, the sharpness of the image has suffered from resizing and downloading it here:( It was my first attempt to do it in Corel Draw, not very successful. The original version is here (220 Kb).
