Photographer's Note

A trip to Paris must have at least have a glimpse at the Opera-Garnier. I was lucky enought to be near there on a clear sunny day. A cup of coffe with a view tot eh Opera at the Cafe de la Paix it's a good way end a day after shopping at Paris 'grands magazins'.

The Opera-Garnier built by Charles-Garnier during the Second Empire, its a masterpice of Napoleon style and the best exemple of the architectural burst in Paris during this period. The work started during the second Empire, but the theatre was only finished in 1873. It's the biggest ancients Operas an everything inside is said to be excessive. The main lamp wheight 6 tons and the place can accomodate 2200 espectateurs and 500 people on the scene!
