er the purple heather of the Netherlands I simply wanted to show you the purple lavender of Haute Provence.
It's near the village of Valensole famous for its lavender plateau.

Hi Christine
The lavender shows up well in the photo but it is the tree that provides extra interest and balance.

Belle composition avec cet arbre solitaire et la disposition des branches qui semblent se prolonger avec la vue de ces nuages, bon effet de teinte avec la lavande, pour les senteurs, il nous reste à les imaginer.

Hello Christine,
This is a beautiful photograph with so much colour from the heather.
The single tree is very strongly positioned and creates a very dramatic effect against the cloudy sky.
