I tried to approach the maximum, but a swan was not quite agree ! its wing flapping associated a shrill blast invited me to step back. Notice to fans !
in view of the first comments, I would choose a title like : a protective mother !

Great composition. The Swan, buoy, woods and cloud give this photo depth. I like the shutter speed selection such that the wings are blurred. This adds motion in a static scene.

En voilà un qui protège bien sa progéniture... Une belle et attendrissante composition. J'aime bien l'atmosphère et cette lumière tamisée sur la scène. J'aurai peut-être recadré un peu pour ne pas avoir la partie du ciel surexposé, mais c'est un détail, j'apprécie ce joli moment, merci Cyrille.

Superb capture-the two swans with the cygnets (in fact, I think the angry one is a protective mother...), the silver tones of the lake and sky. Very nice, you captured a beautiful moment.

This is a beautiful scene. I like the lighting, and the different positions of the swans. The mother swan was captured very well, in the act of shooing you away. :-) Very lovely nature and beautiful birds.

Bonjour Cyrille,
Très belle photo d'une famille de cygnes. Généralement, les cygnes donnent l'impression d'être des oiseaux très calmes. Dans la réalité, ils sont plutôt agressifs, même si ici, c'était plutôt normal puisqu'elle voulait protéger sa progéniture.
La photo prise au petit matin ou tard le soir lui donne un charme supplémentaire. C'est une très belle photo.

Il y a une grande similitude entre les animaux et les êtres humains. Ce merveilleux moment (fugace) de cette "maman" cygne qui défend ses petits à coups d'aile en est un parfait exemple d'une mère protectrice.
L'image est belle. Un cadrage fort bien pensé. La lumière est superbe.

Bonjour Cyrille,
après avoir lu ta note, je suis d'accord dans le changement du titre, parce qu'il est plus approprié à l'image de cette scène.
Réellement la mère cygne essaie de protéger sa progéniture, et a une attitude menaçante devant le photographe, qui était trop près de celles-ci.
La photo est directe et spontanée, et tu as obtenu une luminosité intéressante et des tons argentés dans l'eau et dans le ciel nuageux qui donnent une grande qualité à la composition.
Un bon travail.

Belle composition à la fois statique par le calme du lac et dynamique par les mouvements d'ailes du cygne. Je mes suis permis un WS dans lequel j'ai supprimé la bouée orange qui n'apporte pas grand chose à la composition mais qui est placée juste sur un point de convergence naturel de l'oeil dans ce format carré.

Une capture est pleine d'un enchantement et une beauté, que joli la parade protectrice de la mère cygne avec ses poussins, bon moment pour obtenir l'instantanée. Les eaux douces du lac il a quelques reflets précieux du soir. Un bon travail.

Les réflexions sur l'eau sont des atouts à la composition. Tu as bien saisi L'expression furieuse de ce cygne qui protègent ses petits. La prise de vue entraine mon regard vers la rive opposée ce qui donne de la profondeur à la photo. Ce ciel nuageux gfiltre la lumière qui donne des couleurs un peu foncées. Bonne soirée.

Great composition with the swan family almost in the lower right corner. The sharpness is very good. Colours and light well managed. My Dear Cyril,
How could have I missed this for so long..? I would rather call it a 'Proud'mother than a Protective mother.The capture of emotions are perfect.Just one point I would like to make - in the composition(not that it is wrong)I am atttracted to the sun light on the left whereas power of image lies on the right side(in the swan family). I tried doing my two bits of photoshop with your picture but this still seems to be the best. Cheers,

Hi Cyrille,
Very nice shot. I love it, taking out the mother and the babies, it would make a peaceful and lovely and romantic image of just the one in the front, but with the mother swan protecting the babies from predator is real love.
Very beautiful color and lovely composition, I really enjoyed this one.
