Photographer's Note

One summer I spent alpine climbing in the Mont Blanc range. Always wanted to do the Frendo spur but had alot of apprehension as some years before this photo a friend had climbed most of the route and while abseiling in retreat because of bad weather he died.
Its a superb route not to difficult and the best is saved to the last. This is the final snow ridge before the harder rock bastion. Simon a good friend is the figure in front. Alpine climbing has to be fast so sections like this are not protected as we moved together. One mistake and its 100's of feet to the bottom.
Its not a perfect photo scan and for some reason I can't get it right
