Photographer's Note

If Le Havre belongs to Unesco World Heritage for architectural reasons, it is one of the biggest industrial area in France too.

You find there refineries, factories and one of the biggest industrial harbour in Europe (the 5th) : 40% of french oil consumption enter the country through Le Havre, the place is the first for national containers transit (60%)...

The thing to do to discover an incredible world is to have a cruise in the harbour. You enter an unknown and fascinating world, where everything is huge, strange, impressive...

This is the entrance.

On the left (the black walls), you see a no-more working floating embankment (to repair big cargos). And on the right, the local powerplant.
